Interconnected stories center on a meadow, remembered by some as the paradise of their childhood, and representing for others a chance to make money by developing into a housing project. The film lets the viewer meet and get to know the people in Cantabria (Northern Spain), their aspirations and past histories, their hopes and dreams, and the conflicts between the older life styles and the new, encroaching possibilities and pressures. All this, in the midst of breath-taking scenery.

Now she is ready, and she will take her children and grandchildren over. And it happens. Or does it? The viewer wants to go along, there is too much at stake.
